Socialization Meeting and Coordination of Implementation HES 2022

Tulungagung Regency as a new sample in the implementation of the 2022 HES. The Cost of Living Survey (HES) was first conducted in 1977/1978, and currently the CPI is calculated based on the HES 2018. Developments in information technology, changes in people's income, changes in supply and demand patterns of goods/ services, developments in the types and quality of goods/services, as well as changes in people's tastes and behavior can change people's consumption patterns. This change resulted in the commodity basket (commodity basket) and the weighing chart of the HES 2018 results is no longer suitable to describe the current situation accurately. The up-to-date HES weighing chart can be used to adjust the base year after a shock/crisis/pandemic.

To prepare for a fairly massive field activity with a marathon schedule for a year, and this is the first time it has been held in Tulungagung Regency, it is necessary to have good and intensive coordination and socialization with external and internal parties. Coordination with external parties, especially businessmen and local governments, is absolutely necessary. Internal coordination both at the level of the Statistical Function and all BPS employees of Tulungagung Regency is also very necessary to synchronize the steps and rhythms so that the implementation of data collection in 2022 runs smoothly and successfully as planned, so that the quality of the HES 2022 data is getting better.

Taking into account the above conditions, it is necessary to make special efforts to improve the effectiveness of coordination to improve the smoothness and uniformity of movement between the leadership and the technical person in charge of HES 2022 in Tulungagung district. One of them is by holding a socialization and coordination meeting which took place on December 8, 2021 at the Istana Hotel which was opened directly by the Deputy Regent and was attended by 62 participants consisting of 26 internal participants and 36 external participants. It is hoped that with these activities, chemistry with these stakeholders will be built which in the end the HES 2022 officers can run more easily.
