Abstract

The number of the workforce in August 2024 was 678,314 people, an increase of 12,757 people compared to August 2023. In line with the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in August 2024 which increased by 0.87 percentage points compared to the TPAK in August 2023. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 4.12 percent, down 1.53 percentage points compared to August 2023. The working population was 650,391 people, an increase of 22,413 people from August 2023. The increase in the working population occurred in all sectors, including the Agriculture, Manufacturing and Services sectors. A total of 238,437 people (36.66 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 3.39 percentage points compared to August 2023.
