Gender Development Index (GDI) in Tulungagung 2021

Gender development in Tulungagung Regency in 2021 experienced a slight increase compared to 2020. In 2020 the GPI of Tulungagung Regency reached 95.48 and in 2021 it increased to 95.52 or an increase of 0.02 units. Tulungagung Regency is recorded to have an HDI with a fairly high category, which is in the HDI range > 70. The HDI achievement of Tulungagung Regency in 2021 for the male population reaches 75.89 which is higher than the female population, which is 72.49. During the period 2020 to 2021, the components that make up the IPG have also developed quite well. Newborns have a chance of living to 74.16 years, which means an increase of 0.08 years compared to the previous year. Children aged 7 years have the opportunity to attend school for 13.32 years, which means an increase of 0.01 years compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over has an average of 8.34 years of education, an increase of 0.01 years from the previous year and the last is adjusted per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) which has reached Rp. 10.81 million, which is an increase of Rp. 102 thousand compared to the previous year. From the increase in the components above, the HDI value in Tulungagung Regency has increased slightly in 2021 compared to the previous year.
